You’ll find lots of great places to explore in the surrounding countryside her at Warner Leisure Hotels.
As someone who has spent most of his professional life working in the entertainment industries, some personal and as it happens, collective observations, with regard to the "Great Nights Out" in their "Mariners Ballroom".
The resident Band "Higher Ground" were really good as was their resident female soloist, I believe her name is Rebecca. A good band balance/sound mix...with clear vocals..unlike the following night with another female soloist( name unknown!) ...either the sound mix was very poor...or she just has a rather thin voice (lacking in mid-range/"presence" and bass!)...perhaps the EQ on her mic. could have been addressed, if someone had bothered to check the PA feed in the audience area? The following night the "feature act" , a DUO with an Indian (Red!) stage name...they were just awful. Embarrassingly so! Their sound mix was all over the place, they did not appear to be in harmony and the male half of the duo, his voice was often unintelligible. Very poor.! The management of this resort really need to find people who can successfully operate and understand sound mixing desks and check out both PA and Fold Back audio mix to those speakers! Stop overloading the bass drivers! Just painful...particularly on the dance floor!
The comic "Herbie"? was excellent, intelligible and very, very funny!.
Our chalet accommodation was very good. The restaurant catering excellent as were the restaurant staff.
The fitness centre was well-appointed and the staff there were very accommodating.
Daily Leisure activities were numerous and the ones that we experienced , very enjoyable although poorly attended...which was a shame!
We managed to see much of the island, the weather was fabulous , as was Osborne House...a "must see"1
You can always be sure of excellent food at a Warners hotel and Norton Grange was a good as ever. We had gone on a Turkey and Tinsel holiday and the place was well decorated as it always is.
Although we had gone on a coach holiday we decided to spend the days on our own expeditions. This was easy as the bus stops outside the entrance to the holiday village. We then proceeded to travel all over the island by bus visiting Newport. Quarr Abbey The Roman remains, Shanklin and also walked part of the coastal footpath. We could then come back to the comfort of our well appointed chalets. After a superb evening meal we then made good use of the inclusive bar and watched a lot of good entertainment
