Norton Grange is for the lovers of all things aquatic. A chalet village with stunning views of the Solent, it is moments from a maritime museum, underwater Archaeology Centre, a Planetarium and a Model Railway, and the site was even occupied by the Royal Navy during WWII. Fresh seaside chalets built by Warner provide peaceful spaces to relax in after a night enjoying a range of excellent live entertainment, as well as a wide range of daily activities. Norton Grange’s restaurant, Castaways, has a broad menu including local and seasonal produce.
Our first time with Warners, but deffinately not the last. We booked a short break with Saga 15th to 18th Feb. And what an outstanding time we had. Once paid we had nothing to worry about, just turn up - breakfast, lunch, evening meal and even mid morning coffee and afternoon tea. Also the ferry booking was taken care of we just had to pick the times. The Chalet was clean warm and comfortable with tea, coffee and biscuits topped up everyday. Great bathroom and super sized comfy bed. As I am disabled I did not take part in the varied sports etc bit did try out the pool. Not for me as it's the only exercise I can do it's not really conducive to swimming " more a fun pool" but I'm not complaining and I did make use of the sauna instead.
Food was especially good. Great choice, service and presentation. We haven't eaten so much or so well for ages. (Must of put on a few pounds). The entertainment was really Good, not impressed with the singer of the resident band but WOW some of the entertainment staff where great.
Lots to do if wish and are fit enough.
Rifle or pistol shooting, archery, boules, indoor curling, sword fencing, Nordic walking, cinema, snooker, darts and the list goes on with lots more. I settled for a few quizzes and a bottle or 2 of wine.
Great atmosphere - Great Site - Great Staff - Great everything.
We will return.
Added are a couple of photos of the excellent food.
We had an amazing stay. Our room was clean nicely decorated and a pleasant walk to the facilities. We had outstanding service from all staff. Our food was excellent .
The hotel pool is tired and the jacuzzi is too cold but the new year provided good weather and we were able to play bowls outside .We also went walking on some lovely walks.
The entertainment was very good except for the kariocke .The new year's eve was particularly good we loved the fireworks ,the show and the Piper .The haggis and neeps just hit the spot thank you .Joey jivers fantastic end to a fun break.Thankyou to all the hard working staff and we have booked again so that says it all The break is reasonably priced if you want a posh hotel it's probably not for you if you want clean comfortable accommodation wonderful atmosphere and good food and helpful staff go for it .
