Norton Grange Coastal Village Links Page
This hotel is in an excellent position for views over the Solent or walks along the coast or maybe into Yarmouth. The ferry terminal is only about two minutes away by car and there is a bus stop right outside for going further afield.
We were upgraded to a Premier room which was very comfortable. Food was excellent with plenty of choice. Yes, they only put minimum condiments on the table but this is to save waste as anything that is not used has to be thrown away due to Covid. Would definitely stay again.
I stay at this hotel as went on a walking holiday with a group of friends. The rooms where pleasant and cleaned every day. The food was amazing. The stay friendly but there is one man which I referred to as Hitler as he was quick aggressive in his approve to this covud stuff (which can be seen as he is taking his job seriously) they sanatise the entertainment room between shows as there are 2 shows and we happen to walk in while this was happening and it felt like he shouted at us to get out made us feel really bad he is to much. The rest of the staff are ok.
There is lots to do during the day. I did archery and rifle shooting also the swimming pool is lovely but only allowed 16 at the time. The hotel is right on the beach so you can go for a lovely walk. I would definitely stay here again.
Great week with all the restrictions.
Had a great week here at Norton Grange even with the new restrictions which are in place. Staff are helpful and very efficient under the circumstances. Some things have changed a little with food service and bar service but once everyone is used to it, it works a treat. Once again a great week, thanks to Kim, Kristina, Fallon and Kyle for making it all run smoothly.
week long visit
Not wanting to risk a trip abroad in the current situation and having stayed at Norton grange before we decided to book a week long stay on the Isle of Wight . We were checked in whilst still in the car just after 3pm and went direct to our chalet. The room was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of signs within the resort for one way and social distancing. Service in the bars is all table service and despite being busy the drinks service was always prompt, there is no cash so they just charge everything to your room account . Previously we had a set table in the dining room for the duration of our visit but you now need to book your meal times in advance, we had a different table and waiter for almost every meal, there is no buffet only table service the food was as good if not better than previous visits, service was indifferent sometimes not great but other times it was good, waiter Gary stood out very polite and efficient .The pool is open but limited amount of people at one time changing rooms were closed and you need to arrive at the pool in your swim wear and change in your chalet after it was warm weather so this wasn't an issue however would not fancy walking across the resort in cooler months. Entertainment was indoors and tables were well spaced out. Overall had a great time and will return again in the future.
