Bembridge Coast Hotel - Isle of Wight overlooks the Solent and wonderful beach.
Review
We stayed with friends for three nights. Although we booked the most basic room it was clean, warm and comfortable and well serviced. I agree it was a bit of a walk to the main area but this is common at most Warner’s so no surprise. The food was excellent with a good choice and good quality. Whilst the restaurant was very busy our waitress Fallon looked after us and the queues at the self service areas were short. The entertainment programme was first class, Blues brothers tribute and Jive Talking, one of the best Bee Gees tributes we have seen. The in house entertainment team were great, so enthusiastic and talented, their Queen tribute was amazing. We found all the staff friendly and helpful. Look after your team Management, they deserve it!
We stayed here for 3 nights over the weekend. There is plenty to do on the island and also plenty of activities at Norton Grange to join in if you so wish. It is a nice walk into Yarmouth and back, also to Fort Victoria. There is a 5 mile circular walk around the River Yar where depending on the time of year birds are to be seen. We saw heron, godwits, curlew, egret, geese, swans, wigeon and other ducks. Also a similar walk via Fort Victoria.
We had one of the new and very spacious garden chalets with a reserved parking space. We were very comfy and had a fridge with fresh milk, a bottle of wine, cakes and biscuits and crisps.
The food is good and plentiful and our very tall waiter was attentive. You help your self from the servery or order one of the specials on the menu. Starters and desserts are brought to the table.
There is a bar and snacks& drinks are available all day. Plenty of live entertainment in the theatre and also in the bar at times. The country & western singer was excellent.
Norton Grange is situated on the Solent so good views and terraces outside for sitting.
On arrival we were shown to our reserved table in the dining room and the theatre.
Definitely a place to return to as there are several visits to be made in the area of West Wight.
